PULSEVIQ · X COUNTS V1.1
Source-transparent analysis methodology
Pulseviq separates provider measurement, deterministic calculation, and interpretation, and presents every result with its source and limits.
What does Pulseviq measure?
The current X Counts flow examines the time-based count of X posts matching an explicitly constructed canonical query. The metric is matching post count; it is not search volume.
Demo data and real provider data
Closed beta uses deterministic demo data by default. Demo numbers are never claimed to be real X measurements. Real provider data can appear only after separate production activation and with an explicit source label.
Query scope
The main phrase is the topic’s core query. Alternatives add synonyms or spellings with OR; exclusions remove unwanted phrases. Reply and repost filters are reflected in the canonical query according to the user’s choice.
Date buckets
Application code aggregates daily observations into weekly, monthly, and yearly buckets. A missing bucket is not treated as zero; missing values and real zeroes remain distinct. UTC is preserved internally.
Growth rate and peak period
Growth compares the current period with the previous equal period. It remains null when a safe previous period is unavailable. The peak is the highest available bucket at the selected granularity; it does not explain causation.
Cache and freshness
Equivalent saved results are reused when appropriate and cache status is shown in the report. Cache is not used to present stale data as fresh or to turn provider failure into zero.
Deterministic insight
Totals, change, peaks, volatility, and period distribution are calculated in application code. “What could this mean?” prioritizes assumptions for validation; it is not a guarantee of a commercial outcome.
What does it not mean?
X conversation does not represent the general population, sales, buying intent, market size, or the whole internet. When sentiment is not measured, no positive or negative sentiment claim is made, and a spike is not assigned a cause without evidence.
Cost and the user report
Minimum, maximum, and actual provider cost needed for user approval is visible. Tokens, user email, and other private fields are excluded from reports and exports.
